Hip Hip Hurray Amusement Park

For the locals as well as the tourists, a relaxing hideaway providing complete entertainment facilities with lots of fun, Hip Hip Hurray Amusement Park is just the ideal one. This park is also known as Nagsons Amusement and Adventure Park for it has many adventurous rides for the visitors. The location of the park is in the midst of picturesque surroundings from where visitors could enjoy snow-covered mountains. This amusement park is preferred as an outing or picnic destination by the kids and adults both. Located at a distance of only 16 km from Shimla City, visitors get to feel the difference here in this amusement park. Full with many types of rides and adventure activities, Hip Hip Hurray Amusement Park offers a very different amusement option than that of the conventional ones.

The total area of this park is about 5000 sq. m and the entire place is pristine and is free from any kind of pollution.  The lush green surrounding makes the place soothing for the eyes too. The park is situated at an altitude of 8500 ft.

After you are through with all types of rides within the park, you can go and enjoy shopping small souvenirs from the shops within the Amusement Park and enjoy sumptuous food at the eateries presenting dishes from all over the world.

Coming to this amusement park in your own vehicle is the best option. But if that is not possible regular buses are available from Lakkar Bazar to Kurfi. From the bus stand the park is hardly 5-10 minutes’ walk.  Ample car parking facilities are there for the visitors who come here in their private vehicles.

Indira Tourist Park

Indira Tourist Park is located in close proximity of the Himlayan Nature Park and is basically famous for offering wonderful views of the Himalayan Ranges. With the peaceful and tranquil ambience and pleasant atmosphere, this tourist park is a very common destination for outing for the families with kids, youngsters and others. This park is operated by the Himachal Tourism Department. Parents get a safe and relaxing environment for their kids at the foothills of Himalaya. This Tourist Park is located about 25 km from Chail and is about 16 km from Shimla.

Children love to ride on the yaks and get photographed. There is opportunity for horse rides as well. Kids and adults can enjoy horse riding through the northern part of the park. There are eating places and an HPTDC operated café, Lalit Café within the park premise to help you satisfy your platter.  Visitors can also satisfy their shopping spree with scattered shops within the park premise, most of them located opposite to the parking place. The park also houses a beer bar where you can enjoy drinking.  Kids would love to visit the ice cream parlor of this park and try out their hands in playing interesting video games in the video games parlor within the park premise.

Botanical Gardens Shimla

The Vice Regal Lodge in Shimla is a heritage place that gets visited by numerous tourists and people from the surrounding places as well. There is a garden within the lodge premise. This lodge is popularly known as “The Rastrapati Niwas” and used to be the residence of Lord Dufferin, then viceroy of India, during the Birtish Rule.  This six-storied building is overlooking a sprawling lawn and huge area with numerous floras, called the Botanical Gardens.

Oak and Deodar trees are scattered within this garden and many water plants are also found here. As this garden is full of trees, plants, shrubs and others, you get to see many types of bird here.  The Botanical Garden, at the heart of the city with its lush green surrounding and peaceful ambience of this garden is not only a perfect place for nature watch but is the ideal place to shed off your stress and stress of hectic life and breathe in some fresh air.
