Shimla to Tattapani Hill Station

If you want to see the miracle of the hot sulphur springs near the cold flowing waters of the river, you must visit Tattapani village which is near Shimla. It is only 52 kilometers far from the Shimla railway station and 25 km away from the Shimla airport. You can get bus, taxi or private cab to visit Tattapani village. You can also make a visit to various Hindu temple in the area which religious significance for the local people. The best time to visit this place is from November to May. The hot and sulphur springs provide relief to the people who suffer from arthritis and various skin diseases.

Shimla to Kufri

Kufri is one of the small and famous hill stations which is just 13 kilometer far from Shimla. It is located along the National Highway No. 22. The meaning of the name Kufr is the lake in local language. It is the highest point in surrounding area. You can visit several places in Kufri such as Chini Bungalow, Indian Tourist Park, Mahasu Peak and Kufri Fun World.

You can also enjoy the Himalayan Wild Life Zoo which has many rare animals and the birds. Kufri is also one of the most popular places for Skiing in winter.

Shimla to Chail Hill Station

Located just 45 kilometers far from the Shimla city, the Chail hill station is connected with the road. It was the royal hunting reserve of the Patiala state until the Maharajah of Patiala angered British Viceroy with his liaison with his daughter. The Maharajah was banned from Shimla and he shifted the Capital to Chail. Today, you can visit Chail royal palace and the Chail Wildlife sanctuary. The world’s highest cricket ground is also located in Chail and is under the authority of the army. You can hire a private taxi or you can also take a bus to the Chail hill station. You can also stay in Chail as there are various hotels which cover all the price range. The Shimla airport is just 63 kms away from the Chail Hill station.

Shimla to Manali

Manali is just few kilometers away from Shimla city and is fondly known as the cradle of lesser Himalayas. It is one of the popular tourist destinations, which is abundant with the rose’s vines over the houses and the apples orchards. It is one of the most idyllic destinations, where you can also pursue the adventure sports such as river rafting. You can also enjoy the palace over the hills, Roerich art gallery and the ancient temple which is dedicated to Sage Manu.
