Most of the Indian players live near the sea level. But, most of the international competitions are held in the higher altitudes. Due to this fact, they start with a major disadvantage in any competition.
The Idea Behind High Altitude Training
High altitude training is defined as training conducted at the location which is located over 8000 ft above sea level. It also helps the players to acclimatize with the high altitude over a period of time. There are many dedicated athletes who live and train in the higher altitudes all year.
